Atemis - Login information
To log-in to Atemis you log in using the same interface as the customers. This has the benefits of:-
- If there is a problem with logging-in then the staff will also suffer, allowing them to identify the problem quickly. (We see no reason why there should ever be a problem, but sometimes things go wrong, and we try to minimise anything bad happening.
- There is no separate "Admin" login that would attract malicous "hackers".
When a user logs in, we record it, when a user fails to log in, we record that. Once a certain number of failed log-in attempts are made from a specific machine then that machine is locked out for an increasing period of time to make guessing passwords attacks by hackers very time consuming.
